“My Lovely Backside is a collection of seats whose backrests are a composition of extremely coloured, floating cushions in numerous shapes. The wider your seat, the much more cushions you can have. Our use of oversize symbols, such as the buttons on cushion backs, is a way of conveying a variety of messages. These symbols also supply a signifies of customising each and every chair, creating it distinctive, just as you would add little distinguishing touches to an write-up of clothes. We utilized a new wool fabric developed by Giulio Ridolfo for Kvadrat. We teamed it up with felt due to the fact it is a combination that reminds us of old-fashioned garments with stiff starched collars. We also created a new daybed, referred to as Princess, with layers of mattresses. The leading mattress is covered with a composition of distinct objects and considering that they draw inspiration from a contemporary princess they’re embroidered in gold and silver”.
My Stunning Backside has a lacquered wood base frame with big cushions fixed to it to kind the backrest. The cushions are covered with Indian textiles and decorated with really big, extremely lovely buttons. Fabrics consist of silk and cotton and a Kvadrat wool cloth created by Giulio Ridolfo which is woven like an Indian silk, the warp and weft are of two diverse colours.
