Forgotten WWII monuments of former Yugoslavia

In the 1960's and 1970's, Yugoslavians constructed monumental sculptures to commemorate Globe War II.
These "Spomeniks" (sculptures) had been eerie and uncommon representations that numbered in the thousands and attracted considerably focus.

Largely neglected and forgotten right now, these wonderful sculptures have been documented by photographer, Jan Kempenaers, who travelled to the former Yugoslavia where he captured these beautiful and haunting art objects in his book, Spomenik.
